🪙 XRP grows 7%

XRP rose 7% in 24 hours to more than $0.64, the highest level since March 25, amid a planned major token unlocking and increased hopes of a settlement of Ripple's long-running SEC lawsuit. Still, this token value is a far cry from the record set in early 2018: at the time, XRP was worth $3.40.

Tuesday's filing revealed that the SEC intends to amend its complaint against crypto exchange Binance to include "third-party crypto securities," which likely means a judge will have to decide whether other tokens such as SOL (Solana) and MATIC (Polygon) are also unregistered securities.

CoinGecko data shows that demand for XRP is coming from South Korea. The XRP-Korean won trading pair reached $386.5M against the XRP-USDT trading pair on Binance, which reached $352.5M.

⛓️‍ Terra suspends Phoenix-1 network for emergency patch

Team Terra has issued a warning about the suspension of the Phoenix-1 network, which is positioned as Terra 2.0, for the deployment of an emergency patch. 

Astroport platform specialists stated that the cause was due to a vulnerability in the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol. 

According to Beosin Alert, as a result of the exploit, attackers managed to get 60M ASTRO (worth more than $1M), 3.5M USDC, 500,000 USDT, and 2.7 VTS ($178,500).

Phoenix-1 is now up and running.

According to RLind'ss technical analysis, the price range between $0.6378 and $0.5712 is crucial. If XRP fails to break through the resistance at $0.6378, the price may dip below the support level to test liquidity before potentially rising again. 

Key levels to watch: 

• Resistance: $0.6378, $0.7440.
• Support: $0.5712, $0.5100.

If the court case concludes favorably, it could rejuvenate XRP, potentially pushing it past the $0.6378 resistance and opening the door for further gains.

⚠️ dYdX has restored the site after the hack

On July 23, hackers attacked the website of one of the dYdX trading platforms. User funds were not affected. Attackers targeted only the site's interface. dYdX has already managed to restore work after the hack. However, remember that your computer can still cache the compromised site.

🪙 BTC withdrawals and Mt. Gox 

OnChainSchool via CryptoQuant notes a significant increase in BTC withdrawals from Kraken after affected Mt. Gox users started receiving their funds. This could be a positive signal indicating that they are not selling and are preparing to hold their coins by transferring them from the exchange to cold wallets.
