The fossil fuel industry is set to get contributions from the government for carbon capture under Ohio's Wayne National Forest - but it can contaminate ground and surface water through the formation of carbonic acid when injected into rock strata for storage.

Carbon capture collects only 4% of the yearly CO2 emissions goal, part of which is injected into old oil field wells in an attempt to extract more oil deposits. The process of transforming CO2 into blue hydrogen gives off more CO2.  

Meanwhile, wind and solar roughly displace 35 times as much CO2 every year as the complete global history of carbon capture. Stop carbon capture from becoming an excuse to continue drilling.

Tell the ODP it's time to pass a Ceasefire Resolution!

Recently an allied group, Texas Progressive Caucus managed to get the TX Democratic Party to pass a ceasefire resolution! It also calls for the right to self-determination for Palestinians, protecting innocent lives, and more.

Join us in working to get the Ohio Democratic Party to pass a similar ceasefire resolution. If the Texas Democratic Party can be persuaded, so can the ODP!

Send a letter to the officials at the ODP asking them to pass the recommended resolution.
