If pro-polluter candidates win their races this year, the impacts on our planet and communities will be catastrophic and potentially irreversible — natural disasters caused by climate change will only continue to worsen in frequency and intensity under pro-fossil fuel policies. We have four climate champions on the ballot this year who need your help to win reelection: Jahana Hayes (CT-05), Mike Levin (CA-49), Gabe Vasquez (NM-02), and Emilia Sykes (OH-13). Representative Hayes is committed to environmental justice and has fought for open spaces, clean air, clean water, and the electrification of our energy grid. Representative Levin has dedicated his entire career to protecting our environment by fighting for investments in clean energy, protecting his state's coast from offshore drilling, and finding solutions to hazardous waste in California — and he will continue to fight for those things if he is elected this year. Representative Vasquez previously introduced a clean energy school bus program for a rural area and has fought to protect New Mexico's public lands and rivers. He won his 2022 race by fewer than 1,300 votes, making this an incredibly vulnerable seat that needs your support today. Representative Sykes has taken tangible legislative action to promote a clean energy future for Ohio, help Ohioans save money on their energy bills, create good-paying jobs, and combat the climate crisis. She continues to advocate for a clean energy infrastructure and for clean car standards — and we MUST support Rep. Sykes this year.
