| Happy Juneteenth. We hope that you will take a moment to reflect on this historical day, as today celebrates the day on which the news of emancipation reached the last enslaved people in the United States — nearly three years after the Emancipation Proclamation. While today is a day of celebration, we must also acknowledge that emancipation was just the first step towards achieving racial justice. Climate change and pollution disproportionately affect Black communities in the United States, and the environmental movement has a long way to go in its effort to achieve equal protections for all against environmental harms. The Trump Administration's continued attacks on diversity, equity, and inclusion have been relentless, but as members of the climate community and GiveGreen, we hope that you will join us in supporting Black leaders across the country who have a record of standing up for their communities and for environmental justice. Together, we can ensure that they have the financial support needed to win and center climate justice in legislation. In solidarity, The GiveGreen Team | GiveGreen offers a strategic vision for helping elect candidates who will take real action on climate change, and for making lasting change in our political system. It works to make supporting climate champions as convenient and impactful as possible.
