The federal government has been shut down for 14 days, putting families and critical programs in harm's way. The Trump Administration and Congressional Republicans are refusing to negotiate a bipartisan solution that protects families and communities — their poor leadership is hurting our families, communities, and country. On top of the shutdown, just 52 days ago Donald Trump demanded that Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Legislature redraw the state's Congressional maps and create five new, solidly-Republican districts in a shameless powergrab to steal control of Congress by disenfranchising Texans.
