At a time when the challenges are steep and the work is demanding, our community continues to show up. From the writers who craft our message, to the researchers who anchor it in truth, to the organizers and volunteers who keep this effort moving forward, your dedication makes all of this possible. Thank you for powering this movement.
November ignited a surge of digital activism, and that momentum isn't slowing down. Tonight, activists across Massachusetts are logging in for a virtual Advocacy Workshop focused on strengthening local organizing. If you're based in Massachusetts, we'd love to have you join us—you can still register here. Scroll down to see what else is happening this week!
Activism in Action!
Early in the month, our community showed up in force for a post-election conversation led by Adar Rubin, our Director of Mobilization, and Gerard Filitti, Senior Counsel at The Lawfare Project. Together, they unpacked what the evolving political landscape means for Jewish civil rights and outlined strategies for effective community mobilization in the months ahead.

Following that conversation, our webinar on the End Hate in Education initiative also drew strong engagement from activists across the U.S. and Canada. Together, we confronted the growing challenges in our schools and shared practical strategies for addressing biased curricula, strengthening parent-led advocacy networks, and restoring accountability in our education systems.

These efforts continued across our Action Items Groups and local networks, as new activists joined the movement, new partnerships formed, and new parents stepped into leadership roles to protect their children and communities. Every conversation, every meeting, and every training strengthens the infrastructure we are building together—a grassroots force determined to safeguard Jewish civil rights from the ground up.

Weekly Wins!
The impact of this movement is showing up everywhere. Week after week, our collective pressure is creating real change—in classrooms, in local governments, and across the institutions shaping public life.
-
After significant concern from parents and community advocates, the New Jersey Education Association removed Ayat Oraby from her leadership role. Her history of hate speech and antisemitic rhetoric made her appointment unacceptable, and sustained pressure made that clear. This is a meaningful step toward ensuring extremist voices have no place in our education system.
-
Cornell University's Faculty Senate voted down a resolution defending Professor Eric Cheyfitz, whose conduct raised serious Title VI concerns. Activists and parents mobilized quickly, reminding administrators of their legal obligations and the importance of protecting Jewish students. The outcome sends a strong message that discrimination cannot hide behind claims of "academic freedom."
-
In Smithfield, RI, Superintendent Bartz was placed on leave following widespread outrage over the inadequate response to an antisemitic attack against a Jewish high school student. Local officials are now calling for an external investigation to ensure transparency and accountability. This progress reflects the power of coordinated community action demanding justice.
- Walmart took down misleading and antisemitic products—including items implying Israel's destruction—after thousands of people joined a rapid-response campaign. We helped amplify the issue with partner organizations. When we collectively speak up, even major corporations listen.
-
Saint Joseph's University canceled a planned lecture series that promoted anti-Zionist propaganda after activists raised concerns with school leadership. In the same week, Catholic leadership in the region condemned antisemitic imagery in a local school parade and committed to strengthening Holocaust education.
- The Town of Milton in Ontario rejected the discriminatory "Apartheid-Free Zone" motion after residents and community leaders warned of its harmful implications. Local advocates emphasized that such measures divide communities and violate basic fairness. Their voices ensured that Milton chose inclusion over exclusion.
These victories belong to all of us. They are the result of parents, students, volunteers, partner organizations, and community leaders working together to demand accountability and protect Jewish civil rights. None of this happens in isolation—our wins reflect a broader Jewish activism community rising in unity, supporting one another, and refusing to accept hate as the status quo. And as we continue building this movement together, our collective impact will only grow.
