It is official — we have a nominee in Iowa!

Josh Turek has won the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate race in Iowa and he will be our nominee this November.

Not only will Josh Turek be an incredible leader for Iowa, flipping this seat will put us on the best path to taking back the pro-environment Senate majority. He is set to face Representative Ashley Hinson, who is running to keep this seat under anti-environment leadership after Senator Joni Ernst announced she is stepping down.

Ashley Hinson earned an unacceptable 0% on LCV’s 2025 National Environmental Scorecard — and has been a rubberstamp to Donald Trump’s dangerous and destructive agenda.
