We officially have a nominee in one of the biggest Senate races this year! Dr. Abdul El-Sayed has won the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate race in Michigan and he will be our nominee this November.
This is one of the most competitive races this year, as incumbent Senator Gary Peters is not running for reelection. This is an all hands on deck moment: Defending this open Senate seat will take an incredible effort from climate donors like you so please support Abdul El-Sayed and help keep this seat under pro-environement leadership. Michigan is one of the biggest battleground states in the country so please support Abdul El-Sayed so that he has the necessary support to build momentum to win this critical race in November!
Abdul El-Sayed will face former Michigan Congressman Mike Rogers this November, who has earned an unacceptable 8% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard. Mike Rogers has always put polluter interests ahead of Michigan’s communities and he will be another rubberstamp to Donald Trump’s destructive agenda.
Abdul El-Sayed has spent the majority of his career building government agencies that work to support Michiganders. In 2016, he was honored for his work by Michigan LCV as the “Public Official of the Year.” He is committed to fighting back against the Trump Administration’s dangerous policies that cause devastating harm to our communities and planet. Help send Abdul El-Sayed to the Senate and keep this critical Senate seat under pro-environment leadership »
Thanks for your support in this moment,
