Happy Pride Month!

While GiveGreen celebrates LGBTQI+ leaders all year round, we hope that you will join us in kicking off Pride by celebrating several leaders who are working tirelessly to achieve justice and equity.

U.S. Representatives Eric Sorensen (IL-17), Sarah McBride (DE-AL), and Emily Randall (WA-06) are three champions running for reelection in the House while Chris Pappas is running for an open Senate seat in New Hampshire. All four champions are continuously fighting for justice and more equitable solutions to the climate crisis.

Celebrating Pride inherently means celebrating diversity and this month, we hope you will join us in celebrating the outstanding leadership of four LGBTQI+ climate champions — make a contribution to their campaigns today to send them back to Congress!

All four leaders are Co-Chairs of the Congressional Equality Caucus and have made history: In the House, Sarah McBride became the first openly transgender person to ever serve in Congress, Eric Sorensen became the first LGBTQI+ member to represent Illinois, Emily Randall became the first LGBTQI+ member to represent Washington and first out Latina in Congress. Chris Pappas made history in 2018 when he became the first openly LGBTQI+ member to represent New Hampshire and if elected to the Senate next year, he will be the first openly gay man ever elected to the Senate.
