WIN HERE! | | | 1 THING WE LISTENED TO Nominated in Most Inspiring Person of the Year supported by Craghoppers Ricki Wynne, a 40-year-old mountain ultra runner hailing from Leitrim, secured a spot on the Irish senior mountain running team for the World Mountain Running Championships 2023 in Innsbruck. Chronicling his running journey on Instagram, Ricki serves as an inspiration to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, encouraging them to persevere and pursue their dreams. After taking part in a Big Beach Clean in 2021, she was shocked by the amount of litter collected. However, she also felt empowered by the practical effect the cleanup had. It inspired her to set up a Clean Coasts group locally and so Clean Coasts North Wicklow was born. READ MORE ABOUT THIS CATEGORY | | | JASON BLACK Nominated in Most Devoted to The Outdoor Scene supported by Craghoppers Jason Black, a 51-year-old endurance athlete hailing from Donegal, has an impressive track record in conquering extraordinary feats of endurance. Notable accomplishments include summiting Mount Everest, K2, and participating in the arduous Eco-Challenge Fiji adventure race. Despite these feats, Jason's current focus lies in orchestrating adventures for others. Throughout this year, he has guided individuals across the globe and throughout Ireland, facilitating life-changing experiences and remarkable achievements. READ MORE ABOUT THIS CATEGORY | | | 1 THING WE DID Prepared for the Outsider Awards Jennifer Doherty (37) inspired the country with her outstanding climbing achievements this year – becoming the first blind person to conquer Ireland's seven biggest mountains. Jennifer – from Buncrana in County Donegal – has been blind since birth. She always loved nature and the outdoors but hadn't done much hiking, when the mountaineer Jason Black, who is also from Donegal, got in touch to see if she fancied joining a trip to Everest Base Camp in Nepal in 2022.
